This past weekend Winchester Crew student-athletes traveled to Fairfax, VA to compete in the Head of the Occoquan Regatta where they raced a challenging windy course against competitive crews from the Mid-Atlantic region.

 

Ben Hocquet raced in a single and finished 11th out of 16 boats.  He also raced in a quad along with Marcio Silva that finished 15th out of 19.

Sophie Clendenning-Kim also raced in a single and finished 17th out of 25 boats.  She also raced a double and finished 18th out of 21.

Fynn Henning raced in a double that finished 14th out of 27.  He also raced in a quad that finished 13th out of 19.

John Malone was in the same double event finished 16th out of 27.  He also raced in a men's quad that finished 9th out of 19.

Andrew Pawlowski raced a double in the high school event and finished 22nd out of 27.  He also teamed up with Teddy Glass and Sophie Clendinning-Kim to race a mixed quad and finished 11th out of 12.  Many of the boats in that event were adult rowers.
